Acne Vulgaris, usually known as pimples, is an inflammatory disease of the skin. This condition is pretty prevalent in puberty. As a person reaches their early twenties, it either disappears or diminishes. Acne starts due to the comedo, an enlarged hair follicle plugged with oil and microbes. The comedo is undetectable to the naked eye and is present beneath the surface of the epidermis. Anytime it gets the proper conditions, it becomes an inflamed lesion. The oil produced by the epidermis aids germs to flourish within the enlarged follicle.
