Casper, the stylish ghostYou can still wear that good old white sheet for a ghost costume, however, this time, make it extra cute. Girls can make their little ghosts have some make-up. A little lipstick and pair of fake eyelashes (you can make them by using black cardboard paper) glued on the white sheet will make you a pretty little ghost. You can add a little touch-up to the costume with little accessories plastic earrings and long necklaces. Boys, on the other hand, can put around their head bright red bandannas, or any hat will do, to give your ghost some character.
Tanned TouristsTo make your ordinary tourist look more authentic, paint your face and arms with just a small amount of temporary, light brown color body paint. This will look good with your tourist get up of Hawaiian shirt and shorts, with camera sling around the neck. Girls can either wear a wrap-around dress or just shirts and shorts. She can bring along a big tote, transparent bag complete with all the tourist essentials like maps, books, sun block lotion and a bikini. Do not forget straw hats and carry along luggage.
Oldies and goodiesRaid your grandma and grandpas attic for those oldies clothes you like. Old suits and pants with an old vintage hat for the boys. Girls, on the other hand, can don grandmas pretty laces or ruffled style dress and old stockings. She can put on oxford shoes or old platform shoes, and to complete her outfit a large old purse. Both girls and boys can style their hair using white temporary hair color. If you do not have one, dust off with a baby powder or flour. The trick in looking old is to apply egg whites on your face it tightens up the face and make it appears to have wrinkles.
Be a cereal for the dayOld boxes are also put to good use for Halloween. Find a box in your garage that is the right size for your body type. On its sides, cut holes to put through your arms. On the bottom, cut holes for your legs. Leave the top open for your head and upper body. Paint the box of any of your favorite cereal box cover. Put on some old tights, gloves and a funky wig then you are all set to have fun with your costume!
The Garden lookGather leaves, twigs and flowers from the garden. Stick them on an old brown or green leotards or tights. More of these flora and fauna, the better will be the look. Dress up an old straw hat with ferns and leaves too. Put on a face mask and attach small bits of leaves and flowers. Before wearing the leotards and putting on the face mask, paint your body first with the color of nature. Then you are all set to join the birds and the trees!
